Dear All,

We are about to start a trial of a mobile game and we are looking for people who want to play. You will play it for two weeks and will be paid £20. The winner will receive an additional £20 as well. The trial will start on the 15th of October and end on the 30th of October.

The game is played on mobile phones that will be supplied to you. The game is called Eye-Spy. Everyday, you will sync the game which will upload your score and download tags. Tags are pictures or text associated with the place in which they were made. Your goal is to figure out where the place is, go there, then confirm the tags. In addition, you will also be able to make your own text and picture tags by going to a place and then taking a picture or writing a description. You receive points for confirming tags and for when people confirm tags that you made. Thus, it is in your best interest to confirm as many tags as possible and to make tags that others will be able to confirm.

You are competing against the other players as well so you will be trying to get the most points if you want to win the extra £20.

We'd expect you to play for about half an hour a day, but don't worry if you play more some days and less on others.

Participants should be able to play within the University area and be comfortable with mobile phones, computers and the internet. If you think you'd enjoy this or you just want to make an easy £20, then contact me, John Ferguson (john@dcs.gla.ac.uk), with your name and contact details.

Thanks for reading,

John Ferguson,

Department of Computing Science,
